Easy-to-Deploy Synthetic Testing Capabilities

Perspective Summary ScreenPerspective is a synthetic traffic generation engine that enables network pre-assessment, voice and video quality troubleshooting, and real-time problem identification and resolution so users can easily and efficiently monitor anticipated end-to-end voice and video sessions over IP.

Traditional packet flow within a distributed converged network can cross multiple paths based on their source and destination, making it impossible for traditional vendor solutions to proactively monitor anticipated voice and video quality. Perspective’s distributed agent technology overcomes this challenge by enabling Quality of Service (QoS) monitoring from different locations within your distributed UC environment – allowing you to maintain a consistent quality levels based on your corporate QoS.

Perspective provides you with complete, end-to-end visibility across your company’s entire multivendor, network ecosystem via a centralized, horizontal view so you have easy access to the critical, actionable voice and video performance information your technical resources need to resolve issues quickly.

Key Perspective Features

Robust Reporting – Comprehensive, standardized reporting features and advanced analytics that provide in-depth synthetic call testing results. Specific reports include top 30 suspect sessions, session Quality of Service (QoS), event status, and suspect calls.

Synthetic Testing Capabilities – A variety of testing options, including a stress test that increases voice/video sessions to determine when quality starts to degrade, a continuous QoS test which provides alarm alerts for a QoS threshold breach, network trace technology that generates alarms for route path and Differentiated Services Code Point (DSCP) changes, and codec tests to verify that different codecs are working properly.

Cloud Enabled for Remote Offices – Perspective can be deployed in the cloud so support staff can proactively monitor and resolve issues with remote workers’ real-time communications.

Simulates a True Voice Experience – Advanced QoS packet marking technology identifies missing or misconfigured QoS network settings, network bandwidth issues, voice quality issues, and network path changes that detract from the voice quality experience. Any issue automatically generates an alarm.

Call Scheduling Anytime – Schedule simulated calls by date or virtually anytime, 24/7/365.

Supports Multiple Codecs Supports a variety of different codecs used in videoconferencing, streaming media, and video editing applications, including but not limited to G711, G729, and G722.

Works within Distributed, Multi-Vendor Environments Seamless insight, metrics, and root-cause analysis of issues that may affect the user experience regardless of other vendor or technology platforms that may be operating within the same network environment.
